Maps have been one of the greatest tools to prevent people from being lost since the dawn of man; they depict geometrical figures that help the travellers to get to their destination. But the maps that you’ll see today will be different from the usual as they will bring you to the world of art and creativity.
Fernando Vicente is a Madrid-based illustrator who has created a series of paintings called Atlas. The series is composed of different vintage maps used as canvases. Basing on the shape and appearance of the geography in the map, Fernando paints different images such as faces, skulls, and animals. Scroll down and check out some of his remarkable works.
