As our civilization strives to grow, so are our urban cities continue to expand. In this accomplishment, buildings and streets are constructed all around us, leaving us covered with grey and beige concretes. Today, an artist duo has made a project in putting lively colors to these monotonously colored streets.
Brazil-based artists Anderson Augusto and Leonardo Delafuente convey art out of galleries and museums and instead take them to the streets with these beautiful street paintings. With their passion for art, they have created a project called 6EMEIA.
In this project, they use street objects such as storm drains and transforms them to amicable artworks by painting cute and colorful characters. Their purpose for this pleasant project is to “modify the means within which we all live, proposing a new way to view things by reflecting upon themes generated through creative and unusual works.” Scroll down and check out some of their works. Come, take a peek, and enjoy!
