The use of tilt shift for selective focus has been popularized by some photographers as it is seen in some commercials on tv and on different websites. The tilt shift effect makes a life-sized location or scene looks like a miniature scale model. This kind of effect can be achieved by the use of special tilt-lenses, other shooting techniques or can be done with the help of Photoshop. The miniature-like photographs are taken from a high angle to give an illusion of looking down at a small model.

  1. Awesome inspiration Ronald!! I have always wanted to try tilt-shift but never got around to it. Maybe now I will!!

    thanks

  2. Great choices! Very inspiring.

I like most the “Tignes.” It is a perfect miniature.

    Thanks.

  3. Really inspiring. awesome, i got more energy to do it.Thank you.

  4. I love this stuff. Looks really cool. You have to be careful with this stuff though. Once its out everyone can do it and its not so special anymore. I must admit i will give it a try if i can take/find a suitable image.

  5. Sorry, but many of the pictures don’t work as miniature-like (LA Beach USA, Vatican City Rome, SF City Hall …).
I think the problem is, that many of this so-called photo designers never hold a real tilt-shift lens or a view camera in their hands and don’t know nothing whatsoever about making this kind of pictures.

  6. So unusual and inspiring…will definitely try this.

  7. marvelous tilt shots yaa… really like all these ones…

thanks for sharing.. keep up good work 🙂
