There is a line that differentiates 2D and 3D art. Of course, 2d merely lies on a flat plane of X and Y while when we talk about 3D, a Z axis is involved. 3D works also tend to look more realistic than 2D ones although some artists have also achieved a realistic look for their works despite being 2D like realistic paintings and drawings. Today, we will feature some amazingly unique 3D object arts where you can see some elements extruding or exploding towards the viewer.
On a distance, you will not notice the transparent covering of these 3D artworks and you will really think that the objects are floating or exploding out of the frame! This is the work of Matsueda Yuki, a Japanese 3D artist who had education from Tokyo University of the Arts. His family has a printing press business but Matsueda was more interested in 3-dimensional solids rather than in 2-dimensional prints. Nevertheless, his childhood memories and aesthetic senses still retain a natural affinity for his parents‘ printed products. With his interest in 3D, he came up with a series called Escape.
Escape is a 3D art where some elements of the featured object are extruding out of the frame. It is said that “the artwork of each pattern depicts an individual outside of his or her daily life and vacationing which is one of Matsueda’s themes that change will occur simply by stepping out of one’s current situation”. You will feel like the protruding pieces wanted freedom from their usual position and wanted to try something totally new and different. Check out some of Matsueda’s works below:

We find the works of Matsueda Yuki very unique and imaginative. You can notice that the subjects were not just placed in whatever manner he wants but these are well-thought of.
