When you mix red and blue, you get violet! Violet is a secondary color which is also called purple. When we say violet, it means that the color is nearer to blue and when we say purple, it is more nearly between violet and red. This is based on Isaac Newton’s naming of the short-wavelength end of the visible spectrum as violet. Meanwhile, a pale tint of violet is lavender. So, these are the difference between violet, purple and lavender, but all of them are mixtures of blue and red making them look like one in color.
Knowing that difference would make it a lot easier for us to identify these three colors which we can oftentimes see every day. It is also used in designing various kinds of artworks and looks befitting when combined with other related colors. There also come in patterns of various designs and styles. For today’s post, we will give you a collection of violet, purple and lavender patterns which of course would also include purple and lavender patterns since their colors are just the similar.
