Wonder Woman is a DC Comics superheroine fist appearing in All Star Comics in 1941. Known in her homeland as Diana of Themyscira, Wonder Woman is a warrior Princess of the Amazons. The character’s mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men. Wonder Woman’s super powers includes superhuman strength, flight, super-speed, super-stamina, and super-agility. Among others, Diana is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare, possesses animal-like cunning skills and a natural rapport with animals, and uses her Lasso of Truth, which forces those bound by it to tell the truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile, and, in some stories, an invisible airplane. Wonder Woman is also associated as a member of the Super Friends and Justice League. Arguably the most popular and iconic female superhero in comics, Wonder Woman is also considered a feminist icon and was included in numerous list for great comic book characters of all time.
